Chief Executive Officer
Julian was previously the Co-Head of the Financial Institutions Group within investment banking at UBS Australia. He had a distinguished career in investment banking, having been involved in many of the M&A and capital markets transactions in the domestic financial services sector over the last 15 years.
Prior to joining UBS Australia, Julian was employed at Merrill Lynch in Europe.
Julian has a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) and a Master of Business (MBS), both from University College Dublin, and is a Chartered Accountant (FCAA).
Chief Commercial Officer
Bevan Guest has over 20 years’ experience in financial services, fleet leasing and automobile manufacture, across both Australia and New Zealand. He joined the Eclipx Group nine years ago, starting within FleetPartners New Zealand before becoming Managing Director of FleetPlus Australia in 2014.
His focus has been on ensuring Eclipx fleet leads the market in delivering unique customer solutions that utilise innovative technology and are backed by exceptional service, which has resulted in the business winning major accounts.
In 2018, Eclipx combined the leadership of FleetPartners Australia and FleetPlus under Bevan. He has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland and is a fellow member of The CEO Institute.
Chief Financial Officer
Damien joined Eclipx Group in April 2020 from Custom Fleet, where he was CFO since 2015. As CFO of Custom Fleet, Damien played a lead role in the sale of Custom Fleet by General Electric to Element Fleet Management, and in the repositioning of Custom Fleet in Australia and New Zealand. This included the establishment of a securitisation funding program, the implementation of fleet and finance ERPs and the re-engineering of their finance and operational processes. Damien led the introduction of Custom Fleet’s go-to-market pricing strategy, product penetration, and numerous automation projects within operations, including in-life and end-of-lease management, that led to increased revenue, margins and lower operating costs for the business.
Prior to Custom Fleet, Damien held senior finance positions at General Electric including GE Capital in Australia & New Zealand, Japan, Asia and in the US.
Damien has a Bachelor of Economics, Accounting from Macquarie University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Managing Director, FleetPartners New Zealand
Russell has over 15 years’ experience in senior roles in financial services and asset finance. Prior to joining Eclipx in 2017, he spent 13 years as General Manager New Zealand of ASX listed FlexiGroup.
Russell has extensive experience managing some of New Zealand’s largest leasing programs in SME, corporate and government sectors.
Chief Risk Officer
Bart is an experienced banking executive having held senior management positions in ING and financial institutions in which ING held minority investments.
In the almost 40 years with ING, Bart has worked in over 10 countries, across retail, wholesale and investment banking and risk management. Prior to joining Eclipx in May 2020, Bart was Chief Risk Officer of ING Direct Australia and ING Bank Sydney Branch.
Bart has extensive experience in the development and implementation of sound risk management strategy aligned with corporate business plans and strategy addressing key risks such as operational risk, credit risk and market risk and including a governance framework addressing risk appetite and internal capital adequacy assessment.
Bart has a degree in Applied Economics from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.
Dom Di Gori
Dom was previously the Head of Diversified Financials in the Financial Institutions Group at ANZ Banking Group, responsible for the coverage of the bank’s relationships with Australian Bank and non-bank financial institutions.
Prior to that Dom was an Executive Director in ANZ’s Structured Capital markets business where he executed a number of notable structured finance and capital markets transactions.
Dom has more than 15 years’ experience in the Australian banking and debt capital markets, structuring a range of funding solutions for both ADIs and non-bank issuers.
In his time with ANZ he was the Bank’s representative on the Regulatory Committee of the Australian Securitisation Forum and also the Bank’s APRA delegate for securitisation related matters.
Dom has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney.
General Counsel and Company Secretary
Matt joined Eclipx in 2014 following eight years with ING Bank Australia as Head of Legal, Compliance and Company Secretary.
Prior to his time with ING, Matt held various legal and accounting positions with Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Perpetual Limited and Pitcher Partners.
Matt is admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia. He is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia, a Chartered Secretary and is entered on the Roll of Public Notaries.
Head of People & Culture
Zoe has over 14 years’ experience working as a HR Professional both in the UK and Australia and has spent the vast majority of her career working within the telecommunication and financial services industry. Throughout this time she has developed a wealth of experience in Organisational Design, Change Management and Talent Management initiatives.
Zoe’s role at Eclipx group has a strong focus on achieving operational excellence through the implementation of initiatives to ensure a high-performing and collaborative workforce, resulting in teams excelling at their people plans and ultimately achieving the business objectives. A passionate HR Professional that is genuinely excited about bringing the people strategy to life in conjunction with its business benefits.
Group Financial Director
Jonathan has over 15 years’ experience working in senior finance roles within banking and financial services in Australia, the UK and South Africa. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and commenced his career at PwC.
Prior to Eclipx, he was CFO of WesBank Motor Division in the FirstRand Banking Group, CFO of MotoNovo Finance and Head of Financial Reporting at J.P. Morgan.
Head of Strategy, M&A and Restructuring
James joined Eclipx in 2019 following his time in investment banking at UBS and Citi, where he specialised in financial institutions advisory coverage. James is highly regarded for his strategic perspective, intense work-rate and analytical capability.
James has a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney and started his role with an intimate knowledge of the business given his prior advisory role to the ECX Board.
Chief Information Officer
Harry has over 15 years experience in digital transformation across a number of industries; Online Marketplaces, Risk & RegTech, Retail & Media. He joined Eclipx group as a the Director of Digital Technology before becoming the Chief Information Officer in May 2020. Throughout his working career, Harry has provided pivotal experience and expertise covering technology, product and digital management disciplines.
Previous to Eclipx Harry was the GM of Product & Technology at SAI Global and Chief Information Officer of CareerOne. Harry holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Technology, Sydney and a degree of Network Engineering. He is also a member of the Australian Computer Society (ACS).
